Nancy O'Dell started her career in broadcasting by working as a reporter at WPDE-TV, Myrtle Beach South Carolina. She later became a morning news anchor as well as a crime reporter at WCBD TV. The stories she reported in Charleston about the police's leniency in DUI cases, prompted the State Law Enforcement Division to look into the matter. It led to the state government imposing more stringent rules in these instances. In the year 2000, Associated Press awarded Ms. O'Dell her Best Report of the year Award for the entire South Carolina media. Following her stint living in Charleston, O'Dell worked as an anchor co-host for the NBC's Miami Station WTVJ-TV as well as an investigative reporter. Then she became a part of Access Hollywood to work as the weekend and weekday correspondent. O'Dell in addition to anchoring the main show for Access Hollywood, also appears on NBC News Today as well Dateline NBC. She was a reporter for events like The Oscars, The Emmys, The Grammys, and The Golden Globe Awards. Alongside co-hosting the Pre-ShowArrivals to The Emmys & The Golden Globes. Co-hosted also for the Miss USA pageant and the Miss Universe pageant.
